Just get me to the Church in…style!

31st Aug 2022

We really mean it when we say every wedding at Birdsall is unique. Couples are able to put their own stamp on each element and so we thought we would share some of the inspiring ways brides and grooms have arrived here at Birdsall! There have been lots of unique wedding vehicles used to get wedding parties across our estate.

We have a Church here within our grounds that is just a short walk from the house. However, many couples choose to move between the two in true style… Take a look at these wedding transport ideas for your own big day!

What’s lovely about it is you can have a few moments to yourselves as guests enjoy the stunning walk. It feels a little bit like a Royal wedding procession!

One of the most memorable arrivals to the Church was Tabs when she arrived to marry Nick in a white taxi! This fabulous London based duo really knew how to put a twist on tradition to give the wedding a glam feel:

Of course, we also have a civil ceremony license – which now incorporates the grounds too (outdoor weddings became legal in the UK in July 2022) and for some couples they like to arrive with their groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, friends or each other in something that has meaning to them…

Military wedding

Charlotte and David’s military wedding was one of our favourites. They said themselves that they loved the interior of Birdsall so much they didn’t feel it needed enormous amounts of styling – however, we think the wedding became so unique to them and this vintage army jeep worked so well with David and his pals’ uniforms!

Chasidy and Sam also used a 4 x 4 as their wedding car – but the style of this Defender looked so different to Charlotte and David’s, it just goes to show that different elements combined can give such a different feel. We love the country vibe of these two who came all the way from America to get married here!

VW Beetle wedding car

When Sofia and James got married, they had so many different elements to their day: an intimate ceremony in the temple within our grounds, an al fresco wedding breakfast and then a celebration to honour Sofia’s culture. We thought the addition of this classic, white VW Beetle was perfect! It was deemed so stylish, it featured in Harper’s Bazaar.
