James and Cara Willoughby and their three children opened their historic home for events, house tours and concerts in April 2018. Their work ensures the longevity of the spectacular building and grounds while enabling more people to make use of the ballroom, oval room, other reception rooms and grounds. They also are devoted to environmental stability and were instrumental in developing the Stabiliser Beef Cattle programme in the UK. Birdsall is unique in that the team is still led by the family who have called it home since it was built in 1540.
